Things are hopping in NorthWest Crossing this spring! Here’s a quick update on the development activities happening in the neighborhood.
This beautiful community park located west of Mt. Washington Drive will be opening in June. Construction wrapped up late last year, but has been closed to the public this spring to allow the landscaping to establish undisturbed. Discovery Park features a 3-acre lake with around 12 acres of developed park and 20 acres of open space. Your pooches will also enjoy the new dog park located at the south end of the park. We will notify residents when the park opens and stay tuned for details on an official grand opening celebration in July!
Newest Phase Coming Soon
A handful of homesite lots are still available in Phase 24, located north of Discovery Park. The next phase, Phase 25, is currently under construction and will be complete and platted in June. As usual, we will host a lottery in which our Builders Guild will have the first opportunity to purchase lots in early June. Shevlin Health & Wellness Center
High Lakes Health Care is the newest clinic to open in NorthWest Crossing. Located in the new Shevlin Health and Wellness Center at the corner of Shevlin Park Road and NW Crossing Drive. Other tenants coming to Shevlin Health & Wellness Center include: Step and Spine, Mountain View Acupuncture, Central Oregon Eye Care and Pacific NW Audiology.
You may have noticed some earthwork taking place on the “building B” lot just north of Harcourts The Garner Group Real Estate’s office. Woodport Properties, the developer of this retail/commercial building is starting construction on the planned 14,000 sf building which will host a restaurant on the ground floor, and office suites on the second floor. Tenants have not yet been announced. Construction is anticipated to be complete by early next year.
Sparrow Bakery will soon be opening a patio space to provide outdoor dining. And we’re excited to have Martolli’s Pizza join the neighborhood center earlier this year. Thank you to our residents who regularly support ALL of our neighborhood center businesses.
WBPC is currently in the planning stages for the next cluster cottage development on lot 506, just south of the new Shevlin Health and Wellness Center. We will seek land use approval from the city later this summer with site development starting this fall.
Similarly, we are planning the next apartment project on lot 1035 west of Discovery Park Lodge. This project will include about 130 apartments. For both the cottages and apartment project we will hold neighborhood meetings to keep our residents informed about these upcoming projects.
