2009 Harvest Fest Bounces Visitors into Fall
It’s official, fall in Central Oregon is here. If you still aren’t convinced, then you may not have attended our second annual Harvest Fest at NorthWest Crossing. It was filled with fall bounty and autumn-like activities for the whole family.
The street of our Neighborhood Center was lined with squash,
pumpkins of all shapes and sizes and fresh, crisp apples. Hay
bales, corn stalks and other seasonal decorations rounded out
the ambiance.
But really, who are we kidding? We were there for one reason,
and one reason alone: BOUNCY HOUSES. There were three
spectacular bouncy houses to choose from, leaving children in a
quandary about where to jump first and parents rushing about
after their little ones, shoes in hand.
After thoroughly exhausting themselves, there were some more
tame children's activities available, such as an autumn craft
table, face painting, pumpkin carving, a mini-donkey to pet and
a wonderfully executed scavenger hunt. Between each of these
seasonal favorites there was - you guessed it - more bouncing
to be done.
We had so much fun with friends and neighbors that we can't
wait for our next NorthWest Crossing event! Keep checking our
Facebook page for new photos of this year's Harvest
Fest - coming soon.
