When you’ve built fine homes since 1978, you can lay claim to quite a bit of experience. Scott Rogers, principal of Heartwood Builders, has been doing just that.
A graduate of U.C. Berkeley in Architecture, Scott went on to work as a contractor with some of San Francisco’s best known architects, such as Mark Mack and Walter Sondheimer. This experience proved invaluable for an understanding of good design and skilled craftsmanship.
Residing in Bend since 2001, Scott took quickly to the Central Oregon building style which lends itself to blending natural materials with more refined ones. The result is as distinctive to Bend as his homes are to Scott.
